Summer at Thredbo

When the weather starts to heat up Thredbo transforms into the ultimate summer holiday destination. Combine breathtaking natural landscapes with sunny days and cool nights, the resort becomes a haven for relaxation. To keep you entertained there are a number of activates available suited to all ages.  You can try your luck at golf, tennis, bushwalking, mountain biking, horse riding, sailing, sailboarding, trout fishing, water skiing, white water rafting, swimming, paragliding and much more.

Walks for Everyone
Collect guide maps and walking maps at our brochure stand and learn about Thredbo’s environment, art, heritage and memorial. Thredbo’s fantastic hiking trails are all clearly outlined in the walking guide.

Resort Pass
Golf and tennis, bobsled, Leisure Centre and Scenic Chairlift are all included in the one pass for families or individuals. Alternately you can purchase tickets separately for just one or two resort activities.

Village Bike Trails
Cross country mountain bike tracks can be used by anyone with their own or a hire bike. Some tracks are multi-purpose for use of both mountain bikers and walkers. A specific mountain bike map is available at Valley terminal in Thredbo.

Kosciuszko Summit Guided Walks
Available Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, they leave at 10 am and return around 3.30 pm. Book at Thredbo Sports on 02 6459 4119.

Horse Riding

Snowy Wilderness Homestead
There’s a range of thrill seeking activities available including quad bike riding, 4WD driving, horse riding and fly fishing. Brochures are available at the lodge.

Tom Groggin Station and the Murray River
You’ll find places to picnic, 4WD, fish, plenty of Kangaroos and even the inclination to swim in the river!
